The feels of the sun as it lays on your skin, the smell of the grill cooking, lemonade stands and the laughter of children, we love it all. And Independence Day falls right in the middle of summer and it brings us all together as a country – and of course we get to play with fireworks too. Pacific Palisades Fourth of July Parade
Take the trip to the Palisades for an Independence Day beach party! Starting around 2 PM, skydivers will dive down from the heavens to kick off this festival, starting with the massive parade down Sunset Boulevard. Admission is to the parade is free, but for $50 you can get a VIP grandstand ticket. After the parade comes a concert and then a fantastic fireworks show! Tickets are $10 for each of those events.

America Fest 4th of July at the Rose Bowl
Come on out to the 90th annual America Fest on the 4th. A full twelve hours of events planned, you can’t go wrong spending your holiday here. Food and games for the kids, freestyle motocross races, opening ceremonies, a Beatles cover band, live feeds from NASA Mission Control, Juno reaching Jupiter, and the biggest fireworks show in southern California! This is an event for the ages!

You can’t beat free admission. Especially when it’s for an event that’s as good as this. Starting off at 2 PM and going until 9:30, this has something for everyone. Food trucks galore, live music, an all-day picnic, arts, and games for the kids, all culminating with a great fireworks show.

Studio City Fourth of July Spectacular
Taking place at CBS Studio Center, this annual 4th of July event is fun for the whole family. One of the few that you can pack your own picnic lunch to, don’t miss the opportunity to do just that if you want to save a little money, or satiate your hunger by hitting up the food truck village and washing it down with cold beer. For the kids you can purchase a funzone wristband get’s them access to a bunch of activities that will keep them entertained for hours. Ticked prices vary, from $25/$10 for general admission adult/child, to $125/$60 VIP adult/child. Event is from 4:30-9:30

‘Merica Fest
The Angel Fire Brewery is putting on this tribute to America this 4th of July – ‘Merica Fest. Being held in the parking lot and shed space, this brewery transforms the otherwise unimpressive space of a parking lot into a giant backyard BBQ. Complete with lawn games, beer garden, and lots of food you can’t go wrong spending your holiday here, especially since admission is free!

One of the more unique events of the day, the late night BBQ at the aquarium is a local favorite. Tickets are $59 for everything incuding food, or $14.95 for just fireworks.
